In 2009, in front of all the viewers of Loft Story, Gabriel Julien experienced his first psychosis. It is only after 2 years that he realizes what has happened to him. Incarcerated in Mexico, Gabriel Julien was repatriated to Canada by air ambulance, heading for the psychiatric wing.

At 27, Gabriel's life changed completely when he was diagnosed with an illness: bipolarity. In total, he experienced 4 psychoses. His lecture is the story of his life. Made of trial and error, he shares his struggle between sobriety and addiction, as well as his quest to find his bearings.

"My Resilience One Step at a Time" is dedicated to healthcare personnel working in mental health as well as Gabriel's family and friends, because it is through them that he finds the desire to inspire.  ;
